Thinking of retiring but don’t quite want to just yet. Sorrento in June. Cyprus in September. Two cats to play with. Beer and/or wine, gin, rum. Conversing with you lovely people.
If you can afford it, do it mate, while time is on your side. Leave it too late and you'll regret it.
Sounds fantastic, mate of mine was torn about retiring, wanted to slow down and enjoy things but was worried about once the novelty wore off, luckily his work offered him 2 days a week, loves it, keeps him ticking over but gives him loads of time.
Month in Greece coming up. Two weeks in Caribbean three months afterwards... then a month in Oz. Lovely jubbly
Retired nearly 4 years ago personally best decision ever visited just about every country in Europe on our Honda or triumph motorbike done an amazing train tour in the US and gone tee total and still managing to watch the super reds
Great post. As my Uncle has said on more than one occasion, now he's retired and so busy, he doesn't know how he ever found the time to work.
Sounds great puppy, enjoy every minute! I’m embarking on my first summer as a single bloke in best part of 20 years and plan to absolutely fill my boots! Just at Arrecife airport waiting to come home from 9 days in Costa Teguise with my son, and we’ve had a blast. Off to Bucharest for a few days on Thursday on a stag. Devon in May, London in June (for Linkin Park at Wembley, buzzing). 2 of my best friends are marrying in July. Cricket tickets, gig tickets, watching my son play cricket. Alfie wants me to take him to Speedway and a Rugby League game at some point. I’m learning Spanish and even doing a stand up gig for charity! Doors close, but others open. I think what I’m getting at TTP, as others have said, if you can afford to retire comfortably, do it! Works gonna be a pain in the bum for me this next few months as I’ve tons of other things I want to do!! Sleep when you’re dead as someone said to me the other day. Either way, enjoy yourself.
We're off to Sorrento in June for our 30th wedding anniversary for 11 nights. Looking forward to going, never been before.
Go for it,I've been retired 3 years and never get bored, too much to see and do.Done 15 countries plus Cyprus 5 times ,just got back from Belenmadena Costa del Sol.
Totally agree, if you can afford to retire, do it, me an wife always find summat to do, thinking of gerrin an allotment nar, enjoy whatever you decide to do, good luck.
Shame the way the clubs going tbh. I don’t like moaning on here about Nareev and Co about Barnsley but I can’t help but put blame on Vickers in regards to fev! They’ll pick up abit now though with Rocky and Reynolds back, hopefully!
