Why have we given CH the job, useless and tepid again

Is that 8 games CH been in charge ? And for what ? We have a once in a blue moon performance where we catch Bolton cold and the board get giddy and give him the job. Even the ugliest bloke in the world can go to whispers nightclub 8 times on the trot and at least once will get lucky. Another example of the incompetence of the people who run our club.

Warne or duff with their own staff and Connor part of that set up would have been far better. In the meantime we’ve have sormaz as sporting director who has just overseen the worst January window in recent memory. God help us if he is here next season, we need proper experienced football people in our club in key positions.

bye bye dkd, Phillips, Connell etc as the owners will sell anything they can and we’ve more chance of relegation to league two next season than making the play offs under this lot.

scenarios are:

Connor does really well = leaves us in January as we are just a stepping stone for him and any player that does well to get out of our club as quick as they can for more coin. We have more coaches than Wallace Arnold and a head coach who so far is worse than the other clown they got rid of.

is CH the best these owners could get especially with warne and duff being available or is it no bugger will touch our club with a barge pole. Warne has gone to MK Dons and in the meantime we’ve got an untried and untested apprentice head coach with a bunch of disinterested players on the whole and collectively so far have been useless.

Unless this board sack some of the staff pinching a living and get rid of the dead wood players and give Connor what he needs then next season there will be more pigeons in the stadium than home fans.

My town my club my arse………and the years of miss management, lack of ambition, lack of know how, constant asset stripping, keeping the fans in the dark and the reset rebuild repeat business model have brought us to where the club is today. Non football people running the club backwards.

You think the players we have now will all be the same come August?

 

Some of them will and it will be the same head coach too. There’s no positives in our performances to feel that he’s going to improve anything next season - remember he’s part of the management set up that’s been deemed to fail already this season.

No mate……there will be a big clear out and they will sell as much as they can to cash in. Will Sormaz pick the right players to bring in ? If he has anything to do with recruitment then get the map out for league two grounds.

The best manager ever to grace English football was at oakwell watching today (sir alex)and I'm convinced even he couldn't have done out with some of these players in his prime. Not conors fault if connell just sticks a leg out instead of tackling or Friday when Humphrys just stops tracking the runner, or the long balls the defence couldn't deal with as there too slow. We created some good chances today. We've had nothing to play for for weeks got to get shut of the deadwood in the summer recruit well and give him time.

 

Some of those coaches will be gone too.

 

I said it earlier, don't be conned into buying a season ticket until we see who's getting booted out of the door and quality replacements coming in(Early in the window) NOT THE 31ST OF AUGUST.

 

Nothing will change until the strings stopped being pulled from above, its a big reason we can't attract decent head coaches.

No they'll get worse, and this lad cant get a tune out of this team.

 

The game itself was overall lacking quality ....lots of it, also urgency.....it just looked like an end of season "passive" fest. I think some of the players probably know already they have moves or will not be retained.
Good look Conor lad...I hope you do have input into bringing players in...
I also hope you get a decent fitness coach in and get the buggers fit as a lat....try taking them to royal marines training base for a week, just for a start.

 

It hasn't sat comfortably with me how everything seems to have been engineered towards Conor getting the job but that's all done with now and it's up to him to back all the words up with results.
My worry for next season is that we won't sell players till late in the window leaving us playing catch up finalising our squad.

 

Have a word with yourself. It’s a meaningless end of season game where we have a fair few injuries and are trying new stuff.

He’s got to be judged on next season surely.

Board have got to get it right over the summer and replace the saleable assets with some good, consistent league 1 players. I haven’t looked properly but like last season, I imagine there will be some good out of contract players up for grabs that we need to move fast for.
