Still remains one of the strangest decisions in a while letting him go on loan and then paying to bring Rodriguez in.

I don't think letting him go was strange at all. Paying to bring Rodriguez was strange though.

Funny with Rodriguez really. We keep saying that the managers have no say in who comes in, but he got a few starts/bench appearances under Clarke, but once Conor was in he was bench when we had no options and then we never saw him again.
I’ve met Marshy and he seems like a top lad, but he’s still young enough to need to be playing every week to bring himself on, and he’s not going to get that at oakwell.

I agree, I think a few seasons ago Marsh looked like he could be a talent at 18/19 he hasn't had much game time to help him progress. Loan spells to non league he struggled for game time. He's 23 now and looks like he's started to score a few at raith and I've seen there fans are liking him. Although in a very poor league. Hope he comes good like you say he seems a top lad and always gave 100%

22 age, he as scored 3 goals in roughly 240 minutes which is not even 3 games .
Like you say needs time on the field now.

I hope Marsh gets fixed up with a club and thrives but it’s the right time to part ways. Just don’t think he’s up to L1 football. That said, he’s still got more to offer than Max Watters.

Your right he needs competitive minutes 2 years ago he looked like he could be one for the future. He never really kicked on or got minutes. I can remember jacob Butterfield 1st breaking into the 1st team and you could tell he had great potential and went on to have a good career more minutes under his belt, better he got. Same with james bree and every talented young player. No good playing 23s. I wouldn't rule against barnsley offering him a new deal were skint for a start but he needs games now. Depends on conor I suppose.

Watters, Humphrys and Jalo returned. I think Clement was obviously well down the pecking order and based on admittedly limited viewing, he wasn’t up to much was he?

Not as bad as Cosgrove, naturally. Genuinely one of the worst strikers I’ve ever seen play for us. Folk refer to Dave Regis but he at least represented us a league higher up and offered comedy value.

If we continue to play this 4-3-3 formation next season I wonder if Marsh could have a role to play. It’s hard to judge when he’s not played in that formation. I’m not 100% convinced he can but I wouldn’t be against giving it a go depending on how else we structure the team.

I think his lack of pace lets him down. If he were a yard faster with his ability I think he'd do a good job.

Normal circumstances granted. It's strange when you're skint and have no strikers though.
