Slow going with the run rate and would be doing better if they didn't keep letting the ball hit their pads in front of the stumps.

It looks one of the weakest Yorkshire sides I can remember. Neither overseas bowler playing, England players gone again, Bean back in out of form and Malan injured for supposedly 3 weeks.

I’ve just had to turn it off. The cricket is turgid and the two Essex females on commentary even worse as they prattle on about GCSEs and other riveting subjects that are nothing to do with cricket. The one who ends every other sentence with “yeah” is particularly irritating to listen to.

I was enjoying sitting in my sunny garden watching the coverage until Yorkshire pressed the self-destruct button again!

Batting first on a fresh pitch, with lovely weather and short boundaries.

So obviously they are bowled our cheaply.

I saw us at 68-0 thinking that it made a nice change not to lose an early wicket.

    We still can't bat.

50 /5 that'll do nicely. It's a very pretty ground but I see what you mean about the commentators! Have been going on about listeners telling them where they live!

Just arrived at Ilkley Lido. Came here often when we lived in Harrogate which is much closer but still worth the drive. It really is a fantastic facility with cold outdoor pools and plenty of sitting space on benches or the grass. Not too busy today either but it gets packed in the summer months. Proper old fashioned outdoor swimming and not too expensive. There’s an indoor pool as well with a different timetable.

I’ll keep looking at the cricket score as the day goes on.

If I was paying good money to advertise the size of mine, I'd at least make sure they spelt it right
