When to the "Postcards from Santiago" book launch today. A delightful and fascinating hour or so listening to the author, Spencer Vignes, talk about our very own Chilean legend. Newcastle fans there also, as was George's daughter, Elizabeth. One "senior" Red actually saw George; described as a bit of a Jimmy Greaves, poacher/number 10/in the hole type player. Also - good to meet @Turvey Tyke. Lovely chap!

Yes I asked how the two of them got on and seemed like a case of wherever George goes Ted goes with him. Apparently Ma Robledo ruled the family and she insisted that George could only go to Newcastle if Ted went with him! Apparently George was quite shy but Ted was more garrulous and outgoing. Ted died a sad death apparently. Looking fwd tobreding the book.
Nice to meet you also and our own @GeorgeRobledo who is also a nice chap. Shame it wasn't better supportered as people missed a fascinating talk on West Meltons finest.
