Quick question - we have a quite big TV aerial perched on the edge of our roof and we have reached the point where we have had enough of birds sitting on it all day, sh1tting on the solar panels and over the edge onto our side path. So we are thinking of getting an aerial guy in to set us up with one in the loft instead.

Anyone got any ideas how much such a job might cost before we start ringing around?

Tbh mate. I'm not sure why the loft isn't/wasn't a more practical solution for most. Got one in ours (there when we moved in to our latest house) Great reception.. (everyone was clapping. Afore anyone adds lol):)

Could you save yourself a few quid and do away with it altogether, just use internet connection ?

I don't think that would work for us because of our desire to save stuff to our humax recorder. One for the future.

Have you got a satellite dish , if so you could ditch the aerial altogether & switch to Freesat. Got all the same channels as you get through your aerial , All you would need is a Humax Freesat box .
