    1 shot on target all game, but that's all they needed.

    It's been a good year for upsets in cups. Well done to anyone who had a bet on the treble of Newcastle to win the league cup, Palace the FA Cup and Spurs the Europa League. Some odds that would have been.

    Bilbao fans must be in disbelief. 4th in La Liga & had the chance to win a European trophy in their home stadium & somehow managed to lose to Man Utd when they’ve been miles better than both of these sides over the course of the season.

    I’d be devastated.

    With players like James Maddison doing a John Terry, and joining the line in full kit, they ran out of medals, so the last 4 players, including Son, didn’t get one!

    Red Star Belgrade v Marseille, 1991 European Cup final. 0-0 after extra time. RSB won on penalties. One of the worst games of football ever, nevermind a European final.

    There’s enough teams in the Champions League, it’s not like they’re taking a top teams spot. I think it’s good that the Europa League winners get in it. It only looks daft this time round because both gave up on their league campaigns months ago & have dropped to 16th & 17th.

    System? There was absolutely no system on show last night. A collection of individuals hoping for a bit of individual magic from Fernandes.
    He’s possibly the most whiny footballer I’ve witnessed in a long time and the team seems to be in his image.

    Never seen a player wave his hands in the air and moan as much as he does also as the club captain his moaning and complaining in the face of referees does not show a captains quality. No doubt about his talent but other aspects of his game leaves a lot to be desired.

    They did. Coincidentally, Spurs finished that season with only 44 points, which I'm going to assume was their worst ever Premier League season until now.

    I've never seen a player go down holding his head as though he had been shot, as much either....two incidents in the first half within 10 minutes of each other, opposition player no where near either.
    Very good player though.

    Yep, always remember after the 2-3 Liverpool loss at home match of the day interviewed an angry fan outside the ground who vented the refereeing decisions saying 'it's all about making sure Everton, Spurs and Newcastle don't go down"
