    A coin enthusiast I once knew said never clean old coins....especially with brasso. He said it devalues the coins tenfold.

    I've a box with some in...a few Roman coins too, a metal detector friend gave me a few of the common ones he'd already got...not worth much but its a curious feeling to think that the last time they changed hands was in a shop or a boozer etc nearly 2000 years ago.
