My wife took the dog for a walk and was walking down Ash Grove near the school and saw 'police officers', the crime scene tape and loads of flowers in the car park at Minsthorpe baths and thought something had happened for real, before she twigged that they were filming scenes for the drama.
SKY currently showing the remastered 'Homicide - life on the streets'. Looks as dated as The Wire does now but still a bloody good watch. Just coming up to the end of series 3 after starting on it last week. Would recommend to anybody who enjoys police procedurals or American dramas.
Highly recommend The Burning girls (6 part series) And if you enjoy a good film, watch The six triple eight war/ drama film based on a true story about Major Charity Adams and the 6888 battalion both the wife and myself, really enjoyed it
Have to agree. The single shot per episode, the performances of Stephen Graham and the lad they had playing Jamie - me and the Mrs put the first one on last night and didn’t move off the sofa until the end of the fourth. Great tv.
Seconded regarding FROM. This is probably one of best series’ iv ever watched…never felt like binging before but couldn’t stop watching ….HIGHLY recommend …roll on season 4!
The Deuce!........about the porn industry in New York in the 70s and 80s....done by the same folk that made the the Wire ..........sithi.
It's really good. Didn't expect much but absolutely loved it. I'm especially impressed that all people wanted to do in the early middle ages was get wasted and have sex. So essentially very little in society has moved on in the last 1000 years. Apart from the fact that we don't seem to enjoy killing each other quite as much.
Landman would be OK if they dropped the wife and daughter, both are completely over the top and pretty crap actors.
