I'd kill for another Josh Scowen.

We kept the highlights from that Leeds game on the Sky planner and without exaggeration, my lad must have watched them over 100 times.

Josh scowen was super duper. One of my favourite players from recent times and left a massive hole when he left in my opinion

The two free kicks the Conor was involved in, the one where Bradshaw scored and the one Conor scored himself. Pure class

Super duper. Ant heard that for a while lol.
I seem to think his dad was his agent. And messed with his head a little. Might be b0110x. But rumoured at the time.
Although I did like him a lot. He imo never reached the same levels of performance when he played against us. (Great career though, circa 500 games and counting.)
Reminded me a little of Shez. Maybe not as hard in the tackle.

Always thought Scowen was the lynchpin. Such an important type of player

He was and Neil Redfern picked him out as the star of that particular game. From memory he said it was a complete exhibition of the midfielder's art. Actually he reminded me a lot of Darren Sheridan. Another unsung star.

Josh Scowen was immense for us. Just the type of player we need right now. Who knows, maybe Bland can step up?

I think it was against Leeds on radio sheffield. Didn't we win 3-2?

Said it before, but he only played about 50% of his games for us in central midfield. Mainly, the 16/17 season. Before that he played on the wing, or full back. Couldn't get in ahead of Pearson or Brownhill.

Wasn't he one of Danny's last signings?

Really quiet lad. Couldn't grow a tache. Great little player.

One of my favourite players in recent years. Never stopped running, had a bit of quality and loads of bite. Reminded me loads of Shez.

Lovely little player was Scowen. Would happily do all the grunt work, but had some quality with the ball too. Would walk into the current side.

Scowen is the perfect illustration of the issue with our current recruitment. We seem to aim for midfielders based on their stats with the ball. As a result have ended up with a load of central midfielders who are classy when they've got time on the ball, but nobody to do the dirty work to ensure they have the ball and the time.

Matty Craig was supposed to be the solution, but the system we played couldn't accommodate both him and Connell at the same time.
