To be honest, at first glance I thought the £1850 offer was ok - comfy seat, 3 course meal, bit of mingling / social climbing. About £81 a game? Off chance of meeting Carl Regan etc. My next thought was that my current ST works out at £17 a match, so that meant the 3-course meal would be £64 ish? I had another thought after, that realised I had to add VAT. And my final thought on the matter was p.heck that. I'm sure it is competitive, and there are users out there who can pay out of loose change (Bossman, Gally etc). But at this point in time I don't fit the demographic. For that reason, I'm out and I won't be investing.
Nowt wrong with a bit of illegal advertising to end users and not displaying prices inclusive of vat.
If an advert is aimed at consumers who can not claim back vat (or if it is aimed at both consumers and businesses in the same ad) then that ad must state the price inclusive of VAT. Simply stating £50+ VAT doesn't satisfy advertising law in the UK.
But those tickets are (generally) aimed at business customers, it’s similar to garages advertising vans for sale at £x plus VAT. There may be some consumer customers but many will be businesses. If that’s the case it’s perfectly legal, although I guess there’s a moral argument..
Except it clearly states "Whether entertaining clients, celebrating a special occasion, or simply enjoying a game in style" which makes it clear that it's aimed at both corporate customers who are entertaining clients and also consumers who are celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a game in style. It if it aimed at both businesses and consumers then it must show the price inclusive of vat.
Sorry for being dim but is that per season or per game? Just seen, it says season ticket. So that means for the season, for those dimbos like me.
Who gives a fuk?? If folk want one then they’ll either pay it and claim the VAT back or pay it and not claim the VAT back, get yourself a cuppa tea and stop nattering flower
You know what's absolutely ******* mental? That you would rather criticise someone for pointing out law breaking than you would criticise the people who break the law.
It’s a football forum, genuinely who is arsed? Apart from a load of ******* losers like us who post on a football forum?
Following on from my previous post. It genuinely seems like you have an unconditional obsession with it, is everything okay at home brother?
Damn you really do try your hardest to find everything and anything negative about anything the club does or posts, don't you mate? It's rather impressive at this point.
Carl Regan Well I know of one former Barnsley player that Conor could get on his staff or the club could invite to the legends suite now he's at a loose end.... https://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2025/may/23/stuart-gray-to-step-down-from-role/
