Driving over for the Dua Lipa concert on Wednesday. Don't want to go anywhere near the ground in the car for obvious reasons. Wondering where the best place to park then get public transport to the ground would be?
I've just had a senior moment. When I went in 2008. I can't remember how I got to Anfield from Lime Street.
There are always busses back to the city centre after a gig, but the queue is usually longer than the M62
Been a few times this season, and for Mr Springsteen a couple of weeks back. Street park on Prince Edwin Street. 15 mins walk through Everton Park to Anfield, and obvs a 15 mins walk back, but plus side it's an easy getaway. Like parking on Donny Rd for Oakwell, maybe 5 mins further. If I could really be bothered I'd sort you an Anfield parking pass, but you haven't given me enough likes over the years
There is a car park behind the Adelphi - 5 minute walk to Lime Street where there should be buses to the ground. (There was for Taylor Swift) If not go to the bus station by Lime Street(Queens Square) and get the Stagecoach bus number 17. My daughter parks by Newsham Park - loads park there for Anfield and it's a 10 / 15 minute walk. You need Orphan Drive - loads park there so should be safe.
Anfield Sports Centre on Lower Breck Road has parking on MatchDay - that might be open - 10 minute walk to the ground.
