Clubs will always be interested in a young international midfielder that scores plenty of goals and only has a year left on their contract.

We're in the position where we need to generate sales to offset losses. We don't have many players who I think would command a decent fee.

Russell doing well on the international scene and 12 months left is likely to make him more attractive to offers. I think we'd all like to keep DKD and if we could offload Phillips, Connell and Russell to do that, I'd probably prefer that.

But ultimately it comes down to what offers come in. We have a lot of players to move on from previous poor recruitment. That feels a harder task than getting more bodies in.
