The proliferation of reliable, clear peer provided videos that allow divvys like me to save hundreds on plumbing and repair call outs by quickly fixing common faults myself. That and the ready availability of free hard core pornography, obvs.
Aye. “Install your own three-phase power supply in under 10 minutes - sponsored by Dairylea Lunchables” saved me thousands.
I've spent most of the morning watching a video on how to change the brake discs and pads on a Skoda I don't even own.
Yes and no. I'm no DIY expert however Youtube tutorials have helped in the past however you see some stuff claiming to be life hacks that do not work.
Started watching a 90 minute video on how to change a full clutch system on a Vauxhall Insignia. After about 15 mins my head was spinning as I watched this guy taking apart the entire underneath of the engine thinking WTF !!!! To begin with I had no intention of doing it myself anyway, I haven't the tools or the garage facilities, so why the flip I wanted to watch someone else doing it for 90 minutes is beyond me. Bloody interweb.
He started off by listing what you'll need, I'm currently missing the following items: Brake piston rewind tool Brake Discs Brake Pads Socket wrench Jack Jack stands Grease Skoda
No way do you not have a socket wrench set or jack stands. Surely? You’ll be telling me you don’t have a multimeter next.
To be fair, I do have a socket wrench, I think. And I did invest in a multimeter last year, though I'm fairly certain it's broken.
I don't know where I'd be without YouTube lol, despite the appalling number of ads on their videos now. And E-bay is very useful as well.
I've read most of the internet and not impressed, and once I've done with these last few pages that's it. I'll not be reading it again. Bible was a better read. And the 21 Famous Five books.
I installed Brave on my phone and my laptop. Got so sick of YouTube adverts. All adverts now a thing of the past. Try it.
