    What a team Southampton had btw around that early 80s period, saints, Ipswich, Watford in 84

    Ronnie Glavin running the entire length of the pitch at Leeds in 1984. Sadly never seen it on a video but only remember it from the day standing behind our goal on the terrace.

    An Anthony Kay 40yd screamer at Oakwell. Never watched it back, just the live memory. Can't even remember who it was against, Plymouth/Portsmouth/Hull would be my best guess.

    Aah! When football was way much better. No premier money etc and clubs like Watford, for instance, could work their way through the leagues to a UEFA Cup spot.
    When it was more an art in my opinion.
    No performance tables... just scouts getting out there and finding something....

    Almost broke the net with a 25 yarder from nowhere.
    A rare occasion when my old man turned up. He applauded louder than he should and I got a kicking in the West Stand bogs cos some lads thought we were York fans
