Iain Hume v Derby. Smashed it in top corner on the half volley. Perfect birthday present for me that was, and I think it was Brian Howard's last goal involvement, as he fell out with Davey not long after...

I think the point of the OP was "forgotten goals" because they were in those far off days before the greed league spoiled everything. Many of those posted above were AG (after-greed) as opposed to BP (before prem).

Trevor Aylot header against man city ,early 80s.
Stood on Brewery stand absolutely packed .
Total carnage when it hit the back of the net.
Now that is what I call an atmosphere at Oakwell.
Probably my best memories at Oakwell ,apart from the Premier league.
But the football was awesome under big Norm

Ok it's not a cracking goal lol, but hey it's still a 'great' one!!.
Isaiah Rankin at home to Brentford, at the end of season '02.
We stayed up after a bad season, but more importantly, we still had a club at least!!.
And Rankin got mucked about, and wanted to go to crappy relegated bound Grimsby, on loan!.

I have vague memories of a George Boardman 25 yard screamer into the top corner in a 5-1 win v Gillingham in January 1970. Can anyone confirm whether I'm right or mistaken?

My son was mascot for that game and was invited into the referee's room after the game. Whilst we were in there a video copy of the match was brought to him (I assume that was a standard thing?) and he immediately gave it to my son. We still have it.

8th March 1966. Joe Haynes v Rochdale. One of 2 he scored in that game. Only 3 scored for the reads that season. He scored 131 for City over 12 seasons including a cup final goal. Jimmy Robson also scored in a cup final for Burnley.

How many other Reds have scored cup final goals apart from Harry Tufnell?

Kevin Betsy scored a great goal against Stockport around 2004 or 2005. Think we threw away a 3 goal lead.
Scott Jones free kick at Bolton 1999 was some hit too.

That's one of the only goals I've never ever seen back. Hardly any forage of that period exists seemingly.

I loved that game. We didn’t play Donny for years, so had no ill feeling towards them. If anything, I’d been sympathetic to their league survival scrap. They really were in a bad way.

All of a sudden we’re playing at the same level, they have the measure of us, and that game looked like going the way of previous meetings, until we blew them away in the second half.

That game and them moving grounds seemed to turn the tide.
