I'm probably in the minority on this. But I wouldn't be devastated to see him leave in all honesty.

He was a breath of fresh air when he came in. Brilliant. Then he got ill, came back and hasn't been the same player since. I also don't think making him the captain helped him one bit.

His quality was lacking most of the time he played last year too. Just seemed to put the ball out of play a lot, or hoof it up in the air.

It's a shame, but I think a fresh start for him and the Club wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing.

He's definitely replaceable but my worry with this is firstly, are we going to get the proper fee we should from Wycombe. I know they have owners with a bit of ambition but are they going to pay a good enough fee?

Secondly, I don't mind him going too much, as good as I think he is. But we shouldn't be selling to another potential L1 promotion rival.

I know we are a bit off top 6 at the moment, but that is the aim to get back there. Strengthening another side gunning for those spots isn't going to help our cause.

Maybe it would help Conor to strengthen.

Only if they give him the cash to spend.

I also can't see Wycombe paying a big enough fee to justify selling him to them. I know they've spent a bit in last few windows. But no fees big enough to afford Luca imo.

The only way it is plausible for him to go there is if they are close to selling Kone for huge money to give them the funds to do it.

I’d rather sell Connell than either DKD or Russell, though I think the latter is certain to go if he won’t extend his contract.
Thing is, I can’t see Connell being sold for a big fee these days and especially not if it’s Wycombe.

    We'll see.

Can't see Wrexham spending big on yet another striker after already getting Hardie and Sam Smith etc. plus the other 7 strikers they have on books. But I can see someone spending a decent fee on Kone this summer

Chief sports reporter at Daily Mail Mike Keegan reporting we’ve rejected a bid from Wycombe for Luca. So sounds like there might be something in it.

We should hurry up and accept their next offer before they change their minds.

I don't agree. Whilst Connell has not been quite as effective since his illness, he is still a good player, in my opinion.

The version of Luca we saw under Duff, I wouldn’t ever want to see leave. I rated him that much. Tenacious, landed on everything, and oozed confidence on the ball. Sadly, post-Wembley and post-virus, he’s looked a mid-table third division player and timid in everything he does. One of the most notable performance drop-offs I’ve ever seen from a BFC laiker. Lumsdon-esque.

Interesting to see how this develops. As I’ve said before, I’m content to see any of them go. It needs a refresh and the club is skint.

Aye, it's sad to say, but I agree with you 100%.

The Connell of the play-off final year had the potential to be one of our most influential players of the last 10/15 years. The Connell of the last 2 seasons has just not quite hit the same heights. I don't blame the lad as having Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is surely going to have long lasting and probably permanent effects on his performance.
