    Barnsley Football Club can confirm that Barry Cotter has joined Notts County on a season-long loan for the 2025/26 campaign.

    The 26-year-old will link up with the League Two side ahead of the new season.

    Everyone at Barnsley FC would like to wish Barry the very best of luck during his time with Notts County.

    So unless he is recalled that is the last we will see of him in a red shirt. My youngest will be disappointed.

    I'm surprised at that and thought his hard graft would have been a good starting point for Conor's high tempo football, I can't imagine that we will be saving too much in wages.

    A shame it hasn’t worked out for him here. If his skills matched his attitude and enthusiasm then we’d have had the top Prem teams queuing up to sign him. Good luck with the next chapter Bazza.
