Im not bothered about these games at all. I can’t remember the last time I attended a friendly, and I’m getting the same with the early round cup games. Given the numbers that attend, I don’t think I’m in a minority. What I do find encouraging though, is Conor has some of his first team players involved in these games, rather than just sending the kids. Results don’t matter as much as fitness and having a look at what he’s got at his disposal, but surely we all know that?
If we'd lost, well it's only a friendly. If we'd won and hammered them, well it's only this team or that team, and it's only a friendly. Conor and the team are on a hiding to nothing here, as we're playing friendlies against lower league and non league teams. I think we should give them some slack in fairness, and hopefully regardless of the results, I hope it's a slow learning curve for them all. Slow progress, is still progress at the end of the day innit!!.. And hey yeah, this is me really trying to be positive here.
Well deep down Fitz, and for obvious reasons, I'm going to try and give Conor more slack than normal. And yeah I understand that's not exactly fair on those before him, like Collins and Clarke, who didn't get that chance Im afraid. But I think Conor deserves it, fingers crossed.
Hey Bald Rick lol, I had a cunning plan about 15 minutes ago, I was going to post a reply like that about the Flying pickets. But I actually forgot to do it. Damn!!.
