Just watching the excellent 3 part series on iPlayer. The world came together to aid fellow human beings. Where the **** is that collective spirit these days? Worrying times…
I agree, I loved how Geldof galvanised the world to help generate so much money to save lives in Africa, him and that Jewish fella Goldsmith, did wonders although I think a lot of the acts were either paedos or facists or both.
Come on, the 1980s was easily the most debauched decade, look at Yew Tree, that guest book had them all on it. Statistically speaking, its likely one of Status Quo was at it. Also, Gary Numan I think was a nazi, read it somewhere. George Michael - King of the Cottaging.
Got to admit I thought quo (and I was a fan) were poor on the day. But imo every other act even though some were deemed talentless. Were superb. My personal favourites Queen and U2.
