Mbappe diving about like a peregrine falcon the cheating sod. PSG playing a new high speed game that's ripping apart these seasoned pros. Could be 5 or 6 already, brilliant to watch.

Madrid have zero chance when they have players who won't track back or press, you can't build a team around that in the modern game.

Funny listening to the commentators falling over themselves not to blame Bellingham for the third goal. Couldn't bother his hole tracking Hakimi's run

Luis Enrique is a fabulous coach.

The transformation of PSG from the Galacticos to this side has been admirable.

Yes they have the oil money and all that but can still admire what they’ve done.

Recruitment has been superb. Invested in four and five year contracts.

And will be in the final against a team that hands out 6+ year contracts. Two teams thinking long term.

I can't knock him too much. Had a touch of class when he did play. Shame about the injuries.

That's why Barnsley were after Karoma. Hourihane wasn't a fan of Tikka.

The amount of cash Chelsea have spent since the takeover has been insane, however a Chelsea fan told me (unsure whether it’s true so don’t hold me to ransom) that there was some sort of clause in the contract from Abramovich which stated they had to spend a certain amount on transfers instead of him receiving that cash.

    Interesting if true.
Got to be honest and say I think it’s not true just based on can’t see it being enforceable or practical.
    Edit:
    Quick search suggests not

Asencio, one of the best young defenders in the world with a huge mistake. Rudiger, outright one of the best defenders in the world, especially last few years, with an even bigger mistake on hundreds of thousands of pounds a week for the mighty Real Madrid.

But there's me thinking only Mael makes mistakes...;):p

I've liked it, but only due to the lack of a :rolls eyes: button.

Asencio is different gravy when I’ve seen him but was woeful last night. You could tell it was gonna be a long night for them when they made three changes defensively. Alonso got out done tactically by a world class manager. He can’t just rely on them having a good side as in Europe now, there’s a good 10 sides who could turn them over.

Yeah, he is mate. Really, really talented player. I know a lot of folk hate elite football or football outside of Barnsley, but I grew up in this era of hyperinflation for fees etc and I still have love for football as a whole (though it's getting worse) and I make/do football quizzes etc, and so usually I tend to know alot of players who are considered wonderkids or whatever. But up until the season before last I had never heard of him, it's like he just appeared one day. I know Madrid were struggling mad with injuries, so looks like he's grasped his chance. Similar I suppose to Lewis-Skelly at Arsenal.

Enrique is a magician btw. Football he plays is gorgeous. A bit longer and it could rival Barcelona 2008-2012, the 1970 Brazil side & the late 80s AC Milan side. Wish I could've seen the last 2 live but unfortuntely not!

The AC side is my favourite club side ever. Absolutely rock solid, no nonsense in defence, but they could all play with class too, and attacked with real power and purpose.
