I told u the fee is higher than reported then it comes out that the bid they put in last week was accepted as if it came in yesterday that bid was rejected weeks ago but there’s a new one coming in and that’s the fee they will pay mate
The saga rumbles on. Who's lying https://x.com/James_BFP/status/1943943360206504049?t=WvlYEMsuylEGERdVbwvj3g&s=19
Started the tweet by mentioning clarity and then filled the tweet with words that offered no clarity.
Tbh mate, I'm not doubting you one bit, but there's no subcribers or owt on here and I know you are sharing stuff to keep folk in the the loop etc, but personally I'd weigh up the pros v cons and wouldn't bother sharing stuff it's not worth the hassle. We will sign players when we sign them, if they don't come off you get grief, is it really all worth the aggro? Let's just see what's what.
I’ve seen quite a few people slating Russell when he played deep on here but in Neil Collins season when Russell played as a holding midfielder for a few months we got better results than when Connell returned & took the spot from him. There’s a bit of a myth on here that Russell was useless as a holding midfielder. He really wasn’t. He has some obvious limitations in that role in that he will never be able to accelerate or change direction as quick as a more agile type like Connell or Scowen but he was a better passer & a lot better aerially than Connell. I also don’t think it helped that most of his best appearances came away from home so not as many will have seen them as he more than most seemed to struggle to play well at Oakwell.
Has anyone seen the part where the players are having to buy their own kit? Surely not.. that's got to be a lie.
Couldn't wait to boo him at Oakwell if he gave the ball away. Unlike Luca couldn't do nothing wrong. I was always bigging him up on here ,and got slated here ,just like in the ground. He needed a run of games. Remember having a blinder at Oxford away. Their fans rated him. Ours are only just coming round to him. Want him to stay now. I know what I would do if I was him.
He was unbelievable at Oxford away. One of the best individual performances by a reds player in recent seasons
I appreciate the posts and hope he/she continues to post. The problem is there are certain folk on here can’t accept that the info/posts given may turn out not to be the case for whatever reason. These folk go off on one and ‘have a go’ at the poster. I suggest: 1. The poster, please continue to post and ignore/ use ignore button to those who throw the Teddy out 2. To the critics/ Teddy throwers, if you can’t accept what’ he/she has posted without resorting to Teddy throwing, just don’t respond and treat them as a ‘general rumour’
I agree about the criticism etc, but from an unselfish point of view I'd rather someone's wellbeing take priority over transfer updates
Will be total rubbish, first team training kit won’t be much more than £3000. If it’s playing kit, It’s common knowledge all clubs will supply a set amount of shirts a season, if the players give them away to fans or charity etc, the players pay for the replacement. That’s pretty standard. If the club had accepted a fee he wouldn’t have played against Rangers, let alone being captain for that game.
I take everything I read on here with a pinch of salt. Pointless getting excited or flustered until something is over the line. Rumours are just that - rumours - till they're truths. We are still in rumour territory with lots of players. I suggest folk just wait and see ( unless they're desperate to make a comment)
I was bit jealous this afternoon when watching PNE v Liverpool. The commentator said the Liverpool fans were looking forward to seeing a young player develop over next two years. I wish we could do that thinking about what he could bring to the team, instead of thinking how much we could possibly get for him,
You and I agree on quite a lot but admittedly i differ with you on this one mate. I think if he plays deeper , I'd be hugely disappointed. He just cannot play there for me. Far too slow on the turn and lackadaisical, not only that, but if we do put him deeper, we miss out on his goals, his excellent technical ability in their third. Let him play further forward with no defensive responsibility and he will thrive
But that's the same for every single non-elite club mate. I'm sure Plymouth would have loved to see where Hourihane could have gone for them, its just football these days
I actually do prefer him further forward but we were a better side that season with a midfield 3 of Russell, Kane & Phillips than we were when Connell replaced Russell. I just think it’s a bit of a myth that he’s useless there.
It's not that he's useless in that position. On the ball he's great and your deepest lying midfielder gets a lot of the ball. He's useless when an opposition player runs at him. And that's a real weakness in that position.
I don’t think he’s useless if someone runs at him. If he’s got time to position himself he’s fine. I’d say he’s useless if someone gets the run on him or a quick change of direction happens via a deflection or a clever lay off. Like a league one Michael Carrick.
