If the question's the same it's likely a wide.

Credit to India. They are playing the correct way slow and steady.

Not necessarily. If it passes the batter above head height then it will be classed as a wide.

I have bowled bouncers that haven't bounced (prior to going over the boundary) without going over the batters head and thats 4 byes.

Remember not all cricket grounds are as big as Test Match grounds, particularly local cricket. In test match cricket the likelihood of someone bowling a bouncer that doesn't bounce before going over the boundary is zero percent. Maybe in the old days of West Indian Cricket on their small grounds it could have happened but not at their newer stadiums which have significantly larger playing areas.

I was replying to the massive bouncer question.
Totally agree in local cricket, Conisbrough is an example.
Your rapid pace would make it quite possible.

How the hell is Jadeja allowed a toilet break ten minutes before tea. There’s been some proper gamesmanship this test but that’s unbelievable

It was more or less a hypothetical question which came to mind when Archers bouncer went as close as I can recall seeing ( in 1st class cricket ).
    Thanks for your response

Yes unless the tea break does the trick. Wickets often fall after a drinks or meal break. Here’s hoping!

Yes, I’ve kept going through stages of not enjoying it, and I’m not enjoying it right now! India have done really well since going 8 down.

Hopefully Archer will come out fired up and get that last wicket.

Thought it was over at 8 and then 9 down. Honestly could go either way now. Great test match, just hope we get the ending we want.

Never let me think I know anything about cricket ever again!

Unbelievable bowling performance; hats off to the Indians for taking it this deep after the start last night and this morning too.

Brilliant win. Brilliant test match in the end.
