Irrelevant really. Boxing should be banned. The fact tha folks hit each other in a ring is immaterial. They're hitting each other and often in the head. If I went out into Barnsley and had a fight I'd be fined or locked up. Barbaric sport, akin to the last vestiges of the Roman Empire such as Bullfighting. Needs phasing out. No doubt there's skill involved but there's skill involved in tiddlywinks. Stupid sport pandering to base instincts.
Not be banned of course as there are vested interests.

There's risk inherent in most sports.

As you would if you rugby tackled someone, or performed a slide tackle taking ball then man, or if you picked a woman up by the hips and sent her spinning into the air like a male dancer does to a ballerina, or if you got hold of a pole and vaulted on to the top of the number 7, or if you drove 200mph down Regent Street like an F1 driver.

Breaking news: sport and artistic performance are different to walking round town.

Agree on the money, don't agree he was comfortably beaten either time.

Don't really like comparing other generations but I think usyk would beat him I think Lennoxtown would beat Fury and aj easy though in his prime.

Not comfortably, but I'd argue comprehensively. It wasn't easy by any stretch of the imagination, but it was a definitive Usyk win on both occasions.

Nah. The intent in boxing is to deliberately hit the opponent. Simple.
Edit: Mind you, if you're comfortable with people hitting each other, causing injury, sometimes brain damage that's up you. Whatever floats your boat.

And the intent of a rugby tackle is to deliberately hit the opposition and bring them to the ground. Simple.

He's only ever fought one active boxer hasn't he? And that was Tommy Fury, who is absolutely useless, and Paul still lost.

What a crazy world we live in.

Lmao. Youre in denial, stupid or obstinate. Take your pick. The objective in rugby is to win the ball Simple. Obviously not simple enough

    Good argument. You win.

And you always do this. Have a look at yourself in the mirror and see if there is anything to like.

A tackle in rugby isn't to win the ball. 5 tackles than the opposition have to kick.

Thanks I will. Have a look in your own mirror and see if there's a halo with 'patroniser' on it.

I think if you put a prime Lennox up against a prime Usyk then Lennox would be favourite but at the same time Usyk will go down as the greater fighter because he did it in two weight classes & never had the off nights Lennox did against Rahman & McCall

It's a weird one. I think if you take out that one bad round where Tyson was wobbling round the ring like jelly, he gets the nod on the cards. I mean, the cards suggest that themselves. There were four straight rounds early on where it looked so dominant for Fury. But I don't mind the result. He could have been stopped on another night. So that one key round gets the win.

Rematch, I actually think he fought a more clever fight, but didn't do enough to beat the champion. Usyk was more active (when isn't he?). It didn't feel as wide as it was on the cards for me, but again, can't really grumble at the decision.

He lost to one of the very best boxers to ever lace up the gloves. There's absolutely no shame in that.

I hope him and AJ get it on. Just as I still hope AJ fights Wilder. Just so they all had a go at each other.

I do find it quite amusing some posters in here criticising the barbarian nature of boxing but still loves horse racing especially the grand national.

A bit hypocritical if we're being honest. I imagine it's quite annoying for them if people entered a post specifically about horse racing and started lecturing people about how many horses die each year etc.
