    I can't stand him either, as he's a horrible co-commentator/pundit to begin with.
    And he's always had that negative attitude about us. Thankfully he's been wrong most of the time, so far.

    It's the easy, lazy conclusion to come to. Finished low last season, inexperienced manager, skint.

    But this ignores the injuries from last year, this summer's trimming of the fringe players, Conor's organisation and discipline, a promise of more fitness to avoid the 'dominate for 45 minutes then collapse and concede two silly goals' scenario, the addition of a dangerous goalscorer and presumably, with all that space made, some more key signings.
