Italy coach having a barney. Tell him to ******* do one, cheating **** Their players in tears, maybe they should be having a go the lass who gave the pen away.
Simply brilliant stuff girls, yes we lack quality at times but supreme effort and fitness to keep going. Well done!
Get in ladies. Well done. I have to say though, I wouldn’t mind the men’s team getting the good luck this team have had the last two games in the next tournament.
Just seen this On the U.S. broadcast, Mark Clattenburg opined that it was a harsh penalty go give in any circumstance, much less in the final minutes of a major tournament semifinal. It was a penalty you moron and it makes no difference what game it is
Have to say, whilst they have not been great at times, they never give in and never know when they are beat. Enjoyed that. I'll be watching the final.
Absolutely. I'd happily see 4 penalties every game if it gets the holding stamped out of the game. It's endemic.
Emotional match to watch there. The Lionesses are such a likeable bunch. Passionate. Know what it means to play for England. Offers a throwback in some ways to what football used to be. Enjoy watching them so much more than the men’s team.
If the next Barnsley goalkeeping coach is a woman. I'll do a rain dance. Never seen as many penalties missed in a tournament. Back on topic. Great performance and deserved win. The girl Agyemang is fantastic. She takes bins out, shovels snow and scores goals. Just what I wouldn't mind at Oakwell. Really enjoyed the second half and extra time. Thumbs up.
Honestly it’s refreshing to read these comments. They deserve it. Women’s football in this country deserves it.
They haven't been at their best throughout this tournament but are in the final and anything can happen. Spain are probably favourites and England will need to be on the top of their game ...
You've summed it up perfectly. Quality questionable at times but the sheer effort and commitment they put into that 120 minutes was out of this world. Relentless indeed. I'm not the biggest fan of women's football but to see those girls play with such heart and passion has gone well on the way to making me change my mind. Impressive is an understatement. If we could play with that energy and togetherness next season a few more people might start popping down to Oakwell.
