    I heard it mentioned somewhere that we've got another friendly after the York one behind closed doors. Anyone know any details and if it's true? Logically it'd be this Saturday but no idea who the opposition are.

    It was confirmed we’re playing a behind close doors game on Saturday while we’re away at a training camp in Wales. Presumably that means it’s Swansea, Cardiff or Wrexham.

    Should be a good test then, hopefully there will be some updates/highlights available like there was for the Rangers game.

    WHY MERTHYR TOWN F.C. followersare known as the MARTYRS

    Local tradition holds that, around 480 CE, a girl called Tydfil, daughter of a local chieftain named Brychan, was an early local convert to Christianity, and was murdered by either Saxon pagans, and buried in the town.[20] The girl was considered a martyr after her death. Merthyr translates to "martyr" in English, and tradition holds that when the town was founded, the name was chosen in her honour. A church was eventually built on the traditional site of her burial.[21]

    What's gained by playing in a soleless stadium,it's beyond me. Perhaps it's cheaper.
