Sorry all (ignore if you wish)...
I don't post these days but I really need to 'externalise' on this and the BBC (shock) don't open up any HYS on this subject.

What is going on in Gaza, and I don't care what anyone else says, is nothing short of Genocide!

So much for 'World leaders' who can't agree on anything, and simply put out meaningfless statements criticising Israel.

Everything seems to hinge of paranoia over being seen as 'antisemitic' when in reality being Jewish is not a crime. What is a crime is what Netanyahu and his thugs are doing, aided and abetted by inaction from nations leaders who can clearly see what is happening and do nothing.
Whilst I am totally against acts of violence and causing criminal damage whilst protesting which , IMO, is counter productive, the UK Govt seem more intent on arresting and in some cases prosecuting UK citizens peacefully demonstrating as 'terrorists' or supporting a terrorist organisation.

Hamas extremists may be an existential threat to Israel but the total destruction of Gaza and slow annihilation of innocent women and children is ....well....... I have no words.

    Rant over.

Everyone knows it's genocide but the BBC constantly referred to it as "Israels military operation" which is very worryingly like the russian state sponsored TV calling the invasion of Ukraine a "special military operation". Our national broadcaster has become a mouthpiece for the IDF and it has done so under the direction of our government

******* stinks. Death to the IDF!!!
    **** genocide

And let's not forget it's only a terrorist organisation because they don't like that it calls out THEIR support of genocide and they don't like it. It's nothing short of censorship

I could stop all wars in 24hrs. It's simple.

I’d take Netanyahu, Trump, Putin, Starmer and the rest (along with their families) and dump them in the middle of the hell on earth they’ve created or turned a blind eye to.

For 24 hours they can try survive the terror, death, starvation, blood, gore, tank shells, killer drones, bombs, snipers, starving folk and dismembered children.

If they end up severely injured, lose a limb or two, their children killed, then so be it. That’s war. But I wouldn’t want the leaders killed. Because as soon as they got back, I’d shove them in front of the cameras.

So they can tell us all about their f u c k i n g wars and why they have to go on.

Someone in Leeds was arrested for displaying the cover of Private Eye, which had a satirical post about Palestine Action. Whilst I think that group has done little to further a serious debate about the genocide going on, there is a serious problem with censorship in this country in support of a racist, genocidal state of Israel. I'm not anti semitic. Some of my extended family are Jewish. You can disagree with a government, whilst not hating the people. I've not agreed with our government for a very long time.

Round Starmer, Reeves and that ******* wet lettuce Lammy up and drop the ***** in the middle of Gaza to fend for themselves. I hated the previous Tory governments but the inaction of this labour government in relation to Israel is nothing short of disgraceful, they are condoning everything Israel is doing for fear of being called anti semitic. It's heartbreaking what is happening to the Gazan civilians but we just stand back and let Netanyahu do what he wants. Netanyahu is continuing this disgraceful genocide to try and save his own political career.

In all seriousness, what can we actually do? We've called it out, albeit belatedly. Along with other European states. Called for an end to the war. Called for aid to be allowed in. All our calls are met with nonsense rhetoric that we're aiding Hamas. Lammy yesterday stated the UK is not supplying arms to Israel, other than a part for F35 fighters part of a wider international programme.

The only nation that could reign them in is the US given they arm it to the teeth, and as much as Trump wants a nobel peace prize (unbelievable!), they've made very little progress, as with Russia. Given Netanyahu is likely to find himself in jail once his tenure ends and he's surrounding with and propped up by bunch of right wing psychopaths, I'm not sure any external pressure would make much difference.

It has to stop, but without the US pulling the plug, I don't see what more the rest of the international community can do.

You are right. Sadly most European governments, but especially ours are **** scared of Trump. Probably for good reason, but when it comes to genocide we only need to look at the appeasement of Hitler, that caused 6 million Jews to die and this problem to be created.

Being against it makes you Pro Hamas apparently... I understand the need for a country to be able to defend itself but this isn't a defence - it's a slaughter.

Genocide, I don't think there's any debate anymore. When ethnic cleansing was going on in the former Yugoslavia, the UN had troops on the ground. They didn't prevent all of the war crimes but I'm dure it would have been much worse without them. Why aren't they in Gaza now? What's wrong with the international community? Why is there no action?

Netanyahu will eventually take his place next to Hitler, Stalin and Pol Pot when this is history - but the rest of the world just let it happen, we should be ashamed of ourselves.

Simply, the US is a permanent member of the UN security council and any direct action would be defending a state, not recognised by all, that is armed to the teeth by the US. Given the incumbent of the White House, I can't even imagine how crazy how quickly that could get. It wouldn't surprise me if such a stance actually started the break up of the UN.

The UN will survive but the current US regime don’t respect any international organisations and have already withdrawn from most of them.

We can only hope that this is a temporary situation and that soon enough the international order will be restored. On the current trajectory, the world is ****** and will deteriorate into a power struggle between the US, China, and Russia.

According to an Israeli spokesperson, people aren't starving in Gaza. 2 million meals were delivered just yesterday. And states if people are starving... Which he says they aren't, it's because of Hamas and the incompetent UN.

    Evil.

    Starmer the hypocrite
Independent MP Zarah Sultana drew a sharp comparison between Keir Starmer’s past and present when recalling how, as a barrister, he defended an activist who broke into RAF Fairford to prevent war crimes in Iraq—calling it “not terrorism, but conscience.”

“That case became a landmark in lawful nonviolent direct action against an illegal war. That barrister is now our prime minister,” she said.

Sultana’s speech came as MPs voted to proscribe Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation after the activist group targeted RAF Brize Norton base in Oxfordshire, and an Israeli defence company's UK headquarters.

I dont think that's a rant at all. Anybody with any commonsense and sense of decency can see that Palestinians in Gaza (and in the west bank) are being murdered. Its genocide and our government have turned a blind eye (and, arguably assisted it) like many governments. There is no action to stop it. Its absolutely horrific. You're perfectly correct to 'rant' but I don't think you are ranting at all. You're expressing exasperation that nothing's being done. If you do owt though you'll risk being a terrorist or anti-Semitic.
More people need to wake up - we cant trust Lammy and 'honest' Keir to do anything significant.

Starmer is assisting a war criminal as are the Friends of Israel. They should be jailed, because if painting a plane is terrorism, then I've no idea what Labours lack of a voice on this is. They've literally had to be dragged to condemn the situation but still can't manage to utter the words "genocide". May they all rot in hell.
