Its not about being happy or not its about the coach not wanting to play him.If he doesn't rate him for the style he;s going to play it makes sense to let him leave and room to bring a player in he will trust more.
I can’t remember seeing him play loads but again, coaches will see him every day in training. In fact, the main game I can remember from Lofthouse is the 0-0 draw at home to Burton, in which I thought he was very poor. Maybe if we were sticking with wing backs, he might have had more of a chance of staying but like with Cotter and O’Keeffe, he’s not good enough defensively to be a right back and doesn’t have enough end product to play right wing. I hope he does well and I wish him luck.
