A combination of multiple things I suspect, but given he had the same players as Clarke, he had a hand in it.

    It’s crazy.

If the squad was the problem, why sack Clarke?

Asked about Nwakali, Hourihane told the Chronicle: “Time will tell. There was a scenario that happened from my point of view. He hasn’t been involved in the squad over the course of pre-season.”

    Riddle me this......

Sounds like it to me. Sounds like Hourihane set some “conditions” for Nwakali and they haven’t been met.

Maybe when Houriane took over some players knew the writing was on the wall, hence the poor end of season.lot of the new players are young, add the likes of Shepard, Yonganathan and Jalo and Houriane can mould them onto his way of thinking. The senior players left like Roberts, DKD etc have a more positive work ethic..

Attached is a link to League one players wages.
The average is £7k per week! I worked out mine as £430 by comparison, but I'm **** at footy.
I think £21k per week is the highest and some players are on £700 per week which is the lowest.

It’s baffling that no one seems bothered.

Clarke apparently didn’t know what he was doing for leaving Nwakali out.

People on here only 5 months ago were saying he was the best player at the club & that the team should be built around him.

Now Hourihane seems to be forcing him out & there’s no outcry.

I can’t get my head around what’s changed.

Bland has had about 2 decent games & one of them was at full back & the general consensus now seems to be that he should start ahead of Nwakali.

Are fans really that fickle & people just jump on bandwagons?

This place & social media was rife with people raving about Nwakali, nothings changed he’s still the same player.

Don't worry people will suddenly become 'bothered' 10 games in, maybe less.

Sounds to me from what Conor has said, he’s got a bad attitude

If that’s the case I couldn’t giving a flying f’uck if he’s the most talented player in the team, he needs getting rid of.

I was never bothered by him, thought he looked like he didn't care, yes he can pass the ball, but so what? It probably didn't stand out in a team where most of them didn't seem bothered, he's seen the new coach and I'm guessing he's caught up in his own hype, probably got an entourage of hangers on telling him he's too good for Barnsley and didn't feel he needed to follow the regime Connor has set out. If he doesn't want to do as he's told and Connor doesn't want people with a bad attitude then sithi'.
