Everything was going well till he mentioned Oasis and Coldplay. I think the fact he said no player would come in without his say so, spoke volumes. And tbf all had to be in agreement. Spoke very well of the new signings. After speaking to em b4 they signed on the dotted line and the demands expected of them. Will not suffer fools who don't pull their weight. Loved the McGoldrick story. And how he values his experience. Even allowing him to put his thoughts over to the younger ones. (Trust) wants to strengthen positions. And would be more than happy if the window closed tomorrow, in effect meaning he would have retained his best players. But understands the situation will more than likely change in time.
He talked ok, as we would expect I suppose, but it’s really about walking the walk so let’s hope he can do it.... time will tell!
If the players play with the same passion as he spoke then we might have a chance this season , he’s clearly a focused and driven bloke.
Listening to the Owls hr now. Clive Betts (who is bemused to say the least) and irate fans. Chalk and cheese lol. (Or is it satdy. Praise and grumble )
He seems to like being the Boss and laying down his personal standards. Speaks passionately about the need for hard work. Strong with ethics and disciplinarian. Doesn't sound like we'll be seeing Nwakali again as it seems he's breached Club discipline. If his teams play with as much hunger and desire as he talks about we're in for an interesting ride next season.
theres usually a waiver in the conditions of the ticket and/or venue that you consent to being filmed and photographed at a gig?
I’m glad they didn’t give him his usual five minutes of drivel time. He tried to be Conor’s best mate, letting him know how he’s always wanted four at the back etc etc, like he was seeking the credit for a new playing direction. “As you well know Andy/Rob etc etc….”. He makes Brian the Blade sound interesting
It was a good listen, but only when Conor was talking (not the buffoon). We really have got a good man in charge here and if the club and fans don’t get fully behind him they/we don’t deserve a football league club.
Just listened now. Hourihane speaks very well, but then he mostly always does. He is clearly a very driven person that will do his absolute utmost to get to the highest level he possibly can. Of course, no matter who is our head coach, I want them to do well but with Conor I really, really want him and us to succeed.
lol. he’s brilliant. loved that his intro line to Conor was I’ve told you we should have been playing 442 Conor with wingers and I’m just glad you’ve taken my advice
reminds me a fair bit of Michael Duff in terms of values. He’s clearly very passionate about our club and his job. let’s hope he can get the players to buy in.
Time will tell indeed some might even give him some time if we lose at Plymouth, obviously some won't.
