    Is anyone else seriously apprehensive about tomorrow? Usually I'm just excited ahead of a season, but this year I'm really nervous. I think maybe it's because I want it to work out with Conor, but the last few years, and the last 10 games of last season didn't fill me with any confidence.

    Not having renewed it feels strange and I’m
    almost not arsed ! Last season ( off the field) has left a bitter taste and it’s not even been attempted to be remedied.

    Mix of looking forward to it and apprehension for me. Obviously want Conor to make us successful and if he doesn’t it won’t be for the want of trying.
    That defence is still the big worry and not having a natural RB for kick off is pure negligence. Also think we’re at least one striker light.
    Fingers crossed for a decent start today anyway.

    I'm not as enthused as what I normally would be, I think I'm a bit bored of 4 months of hearing how amazingly hard working and wonderful CH is.
    At least we'll have football to talk about again.

    I know a few who say they aren’t bothered and either not going to as many games or not going at all, yet they’ll all be telling me about the game having watched it on their ‘Dodgy Sticks’ etc

    Because we’ve had about 9 weeks to get one in. It’s a right back, not a 20 goal striker. Shouldn’t be the most difficult position to recruit for.
