Get in there. Great result and against 12 men. Fitness levels have definitely increased and courage and commitment showing through. YOU REDS
Don’t think we deserved it but we had to battle against a terrible ref and it isn’t our fault their defence and starting holding midfield player were bobbins. Couldn’t care less. I hope we play just as poorly another forty-five times if we win them all three one.
Job done Great display in a way, awful display in another. The good news is that our sporting director can now be under absolutely no illusions where he MUST recruit players
Get in. Not watching but sounds like the lads put in a real effort there to see that out. Well done and a good momentum builder
Played their hearts out for hourihane, looked fit. Last season we'd have folded after the red card. YOUUUUUUU REDDDDDDDS
Oh he can. We’ve just won three-one away with ten men against a team fancied to compete. He can twist that to suit his agenda, don’t worry about that.
What a great start, despite terrible bias from the ref and cheating from their players. We looked fit, passed the ball well, confident in possession and well organised without it. Keeper had a great debut, I liked the look of Kelly as well!
3-1 away win, playing most of the second half with 10 men, against a side in the championship last season? I'd say its throughly deserved. We took our chances, defended well enough and did what we had to. I'd say it was impressive. Bloody well done reds.
I think that’s just about as we expected. Some decent football going forward, worked hard, looked fitter, more heart and passion. Thin looking squad, fullbacks and centre half definitely required. Absolutely abysmal ref. We just need a few ‘teams like Barnsley’ comments and the bingo card is full.
Excellent result. Far better in terms of fitness, desire, effort etc. Not the best in terms of free flowing attacking quality, but with 2 CBs at full back and down to ten men for over half hour, away to a newly relegated team, we were never going to dominate. Night and day to a lot of what we saw last season. Like the new keeper. A few erratic moments, but very quick off his line and two outstanding saves. Connell brilliant, back near to what we saw under Duff for me. Energetic, covered every blade of grass and did the simple stuff well bar the silly dive 1st half. Class strike Phillo who ran all game and showed moments of class. But top levels effort and fitness, plus a team that looked together and organized.
Give it a rest mate. That was a magnificent away performance in very trying circumstances. Very well organised, defended brilliantly with a patched up back line, looked purposeful when we did attack. Plymouth never, ever looked like equalising.
