Hope for the win, but we do have a pedigree for Kick-starting other teams season. Not convinced this team is different yet. Even though some think everything is rosy. A couple of clean sheets in the next two games would go a fairway to impress me that we have a team worthy of challenging at the top. Need more than pretty patterns out wide to sustain that challenge. I'm still going with, at present we have good individual players but not a great team.. 2-3 reds..
I'm going 2-1 to us, though not with total confidence of a victory. Peterborough have zero points this season so far. They are very probably not going to stay on zero for very long. They are due to get a "result" soon. Obviously, we're all hoping it won't be tomorrow that they break their duck. I prefer us to be playing a team on a long unbeaten run, daft as that might sound to some.
They have only scored 1 in the league so if they keep that up and we can keep 11 men on the field we should be getting another win and hopefully a clean sheet. Fingers crossed 3-0
Hopefully a decent game again , sat watching it later in my new temporary local in golf del sur , a few watched it Saturday against Bolton from various premier league clubs and they were very complimentary about the game, so a 2.1 win for reds
No goals from open play in the League games. Only goal was a penalty. If we can score early on I can see their heads dropping. 0-2 https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/live/czxpn2nkglxt
1-2 win for us.. Posh seem to have at this stage of the season quite a few out injured. They signed a new midfielder t'other day, but not expected to play so should be a good time to play them. We still need to improve defensively so not gone for the clean sheet. Although the patient build up means lots of possession it does get a little frustrating when we have the chance to fire a ball into the box or have a speculative shot, but instead check back and pass sometimes all the way to our defensive line. Think if we were a tad more aggressive in terms of trying to test the keeper, it would certainly give the opposition a little more to think about. Add to that a few more centralised attacks, rather than nearly always playing a ball out wide to be crossed in would also keep the opposition guessing a little. Teams will figure out we are too reliant on the two wider players if we overplay it. Keep em guessing is a good strategy. Certainly not complaining though as so far we have had a very respectable start and given different reffing decisions we may have kept a 100% record so far this season. So a 1-2 in our favour will be perfectly acceptable.
Mixed feelings here, on the one hand I’m feeling confident following our good start to the season and the way we’re looking, on the other hand can we break our previous habit of ‘kick-starting’ other teams’ season when they’re struggling? Go on I’ll go with the first one, 3-1 us, can’t see a clean sheet in us just yet
