Excited to be going to the home of the Northern Superchargers next Tuesday to watch the first one :D Although at the moment the forecast doesn't look great. Excited to see Pretorious bat in person. He was excellent opening with Root for the Paarl Royals in the SA20 to get noticed. Brevis and Stubbs are two very exciting youngsters as well. It won't be easy as South Africa have just done pretty well in Australia, whilst our lads haven't done 50 overs internationals in ages.

Be interesting to see if Baker plays the 50 overs games. It feels like he needs to if they are seriously considering him for Australia. It is interesting he isn't in the T20 squad when he was so good in the Hundred.. makes me think they view him as a longer form player.

I’m really glad you posted that, cos I thought it was on Wednesday. That’s the third time I’ve done this in the past month or so. I’ve been a big fan of Frankie Goes to Hollywood and Holly Johnson since I first heard Relax, and whilst I’ve seen Holly wandering round Soho and Paul and Mark wandering around Liverpool, I never saw the band or Holly live. So I got a brill seat to see Holly this year at Sheffield City Hall, on the Pleasuredome 40th Anniversary tour. I checked Setlist.fm on the afternoon of the show to look at the setlist and saw the one from Sheffield the night before. I didn’t know he was doing 2 nights.

    He wasn’t! D’oh!

And then I did it last week, after booking a ticket to see Inception at the IMAX. I checked to see what time my ticket was for the next day, only to find it was for that day and was currently halfway though.

As it is, looking at the weather forecast I can’t see us getting any play, as has regularly been the case for ODIs at Headingley in September. If the forecast doesn’t improve I don’t think I’ll bother getting the train. If they keep going off for the rain I wonder whether they’d play on past 8:30? In which case getting home on the train might become a bit of a hassle. As I’m skint and have just bought tickets for me and junior to go and see Suede, a postponement and full refund wouldn’t be a bad outcome!

Are you sure you're looking at the right day?

Yeah … I was looking at the 2 squads earlier and tried to work out if Baker would start in the 1st ODI.
My conclusion is that he won’t start but will definitely play in the other 2.
We properly beat the Windies in June so they’ll probably keep the batting line-up and put Archer into the bowling line-up.
There may be another bowling change from the last line-up but I can’t remember who played

It got rained off last time. Saw a bit of play and got half the ticket money back.

The weather forecast looks better today than it did last week, so fingers crossed for a full game. Baker for his debut. Disappointed that South Africa aren't playing Lhuan Dre Pretorious. Two really strong looking sides. Could be a close one....
