I don’t understand why fans get so upset with booing former players, you could look at it from another angle. Players who get booed at former clubs are usually players that have done well for them, if their stay was forgettable they wouldn’t be acknowledged by the other fans. I would’ve loved to see Cauley back in Barnsley colours, it just seems right to see him in red. What a servant he was to this club. I’m sure he will get boo’d when he returns but clapped after the game.
Rose tinted specs these 2 for me. Woodrow had lost pace before he left 3 seasons ago & Cole was as lazy a player as we have had. neither would fit into Connor’s style of football today
I agree that Woodrow looked very laboured in his last season with us but he still has vision and quality that would probably be good cover for Mcgoldrick's role in the team. Cole would score plenty of goals in Conors team and could have give us a different dimension up front even if only from the bench.
Best part of a hundred BFC goals between Woodrow and Cole. Two of the best goal scoring strikers we’ve had in my time watching the Reds. Only 30-years-old. Let’s hope they’re now as useless as some would have you believe. And that injuries don’t hit us up front over the next 16 weeks.
