Gets you 2 league 2 laikers and a league 1 bod.

So there is money available. It just depends what it gets spent on.

I think Eckerlsey and Reid on loan are good signings and Mccann looks better each jame - a bit McPhail like.

My Opinion of Mattis is shockingly low after one game but I hope I am wrong about him.

So apart from one signing and assuming Constantine can do the business I dont think we have done that bad in the transfer market so far.

We have to be realistic about who we can get

Eckersley and Reid are fine. BUT we're pinning survival hopes on loan players. And the central defensive weakness has yet to be addressed.

    Agreed

I am trying to be positive but it gets increasingly difficult. Atkinson looks the part though and did a great job against Nugent.

I think everyone on here knows we need a central defender and everyone knows Togwell is not a right winger.

I am more than a bit worried about Davey. Prestons manager gave a very fair assessment of the game - Davey sounded like he had been to a different match. He looks like a manager steeped in science and tactics.

Atkinson's one bright spot this season.

But heneeds bringing on at the side of some experience. If he plays every game until the end of the season it could block his progress esp if he hits a bad patch of form and is forced to play.

Added to that, it won't be easy for him learning in a bottom 3 side.

When the Fiat Panda 4x4 came out one of their roadside advertising campaigns boasted that you could get four of them for the price of a Range Rover. To my knowledge nobody was daft enough to take them up on it.

RE: Atkinson's one bright spot this season.

    Totally agree with that.

I would like to see a dominant keeper, an expereineced centre half, a wallwork type midfielder and a sriker that can actually score.

But thats the whole spine of the team and tells me why we are where we are!!

    League 1 beckons

    its bloody annoying

It is annoying - the whole management of our season so far.

A newly promoted side, and we are told that the manager would not add to the squad. Yet the board allowed this situation to develop to the point of us being in the botom 3. They sacked him, then we heard noises about his ambition not matching that of the board, which I assumed to be Championship survival this season and pushing up the table next year. Excellent. Then we have a novice manager appointed, and proceed to sign lower league players. Hey ho.

And then it seems a mystery why fans seem confused and upset.
