Isn't it a Tuesday night too?

It's one of - if not the - biggest games of any season, a trip to Sheffield. I've missed about two in nearly thirty years following the club. I'll be missing a third it seems. Hopefully gets picked for TV.

It won't happen. People will moan and moan and moan and then buy a ticket.

BFC should reject any batches of tickets SWFC send us for that price. Thanks but no thanks.

Not entirely unexpected though. If we think we are a big enough draw to go for 30+, then they'll surely consider themselves a bigger draw and price accordingly.

Football is a considerable part of my life...but it's not completely my life. And the cost of a frugal weekly shop to watch a football match is disgusting.

So Wednesday vs. Barnsley is 58€ - Last season you could buy a ticket for the Dortmund vs. Schalke derby on the black market for 60€

English football is f*cked. Well and truly. Is there anyone on here who would genuinely pay that? If so, why?

No. It's a shame but I couldn't justify paying that to watch a game of football while people are using food banks in my country.

A few will, but I don't believe the vast majority will pay £49. When it reaches that sort of money it moves out of the "Can I justify this?" price bracket, in to simply being unable to afford it. Other than special occasions like Wembley, I can't do £49 for a match ticket.

We're OK, all the bills are always paid on time, other than the mortgage we're not in any debt, food always on the table, heat in the winter, some savings for emergencies, a few nights out, a holiday every year, we're lucky, we're comfortable. But I can't pay £49 for a football match that's just one of the 46 game regular season. That's the sort of price you have to save up for, that takes away from your normal life. That sort of money prevents you from being able to pay bills and I'm not doing that to watch a game of football.

I hope nobody pays it. In an ideal world, an empty away end at a local derby would send out a very strong message to the clubs, but realistically, will they even care?

It would be completely ****** if that was actually the price. As it turns out, it's not.

Here's Wednesday's prices. £42 max we'll be paying (same price as the kop for away fans) and that's if we're Category A, which I highly doubt we will be, considering Leeds are only Cat B.

Still fooked like, just not quite as much as £49 suggests. If you think £36-£39 is any more reasonable.

We get it, you go to German football and it's cheap. No need to post on every bleeding thread.

    Well pointed out and researched.

Imagine if they boycotted Oakwell, we'd lose £200,000.
