Is this a new thing, im sure I forgot them once before and wasn't charged £5. Finished work late and had to pick youngun up, rushing around, got ST out and left them on arm of settee I knew I would have to pay for my matchday tickets and claim it back next game when i show my ST, but Didn't realise they would give me it back minus £5. Seems a little steep and not really sure what the charge is actually for, doesn't cost them owt to give me a slip of paper with my name and seat written on it
Admin charge my arse lol however its better than having to pay full whack and less hassle and petrol than going back home.
I also forgot my season ticket last night, which was sat at home along with my girlfriends match day ticket. So I had to pay for 2 tickets last night, they charged me £34 What I don't understand is, why I have to pay £5 for forgetting my ST, yet I can have a full refund on the match day ticket? so i'll be getting £29 of the money I paid last night back. I can't get my head around why I get penalised for forgetting to bring my £300 ST but not my £20 matchday ticket
I agree it's very poor from the club,if you've ID they can look on the computer and see who you are instantly, with no need to charge a fiver.I suppose the Club are concerned that people will get in using someone elses ticket with the ST holder claiming they've forgotten it,in which case I wonder if they are charging the fiver to search the tickets to see if it has been used(which I doubt) A simple, cheap nowadays barcode reader could do that on the turnstile.
It's been around for quite a few seasons. I guess people wouldn't make any extra effort to find their season ticket if it was made easy/cheap to get a replacement?
I didn't know they did this, i always assumed i would have to return home. A fivers not bad in my situation.
It's a bit of a biatch, but basically it's a deterrent. They let me off first time, but I've made sure it's never happened since. So I guess it works. Such is life.
