Why are they mugs ? They had a simple joice - pay or stay away , not sure why you call them mugs They chose to pay , nobody made them What is your reason for calling them mugs John ?
I'm calling them mugs because they paid £60 to attend a football match, a non competitive football match at that.
If my memories of there are correct then most of em will have forgotten they've played let alone the score. Most boring place ever.....no sorry.....thats Weston Super duper Mare ;
they made a choice , not sure that they deserve your bitter comments , having said that nothing new there Good on em I say Maybe they could afford it
Why would I be bitter that their chairman fleeced them? I'd much rather pay £15 to watch us play Club Brugge and Bordeaux thanks.
I agree , very boring - Sun/Sea/golden beaches/Hot summers - plus a club chairman who fleeces his fans
I doubt they would've expected to see Bournemouth win. Fair play to them, might not be something they see again.
It's not about the score for me. It's the principle of paying £60 for a friendly, Real Madrid or not. Their chairman has said he wants to reward the fans with such a game but £60 is not a reward. And I agree, I'd rather pay £15 to watch us against Club Brugge and Bordeaux rather then pay £60 for just one game. You can see the Barca - Real games for cheaper in a top of the league clash in one of the best leagues in the world.
Therefore you would choose not to go, and that's your choice. Other fans would want to go (me included) and are happy to pay the £60. They're not mugs for doing so, they've just got a different viewpoint on the game and what it means to them than the people who don't view it too kindly. (hard to compare an El Classico game when many of the Bournemouth fans would need flights, hotels, possibly time off work, and possibly babysitters. This game was on their doorstep, at their own ground)
