    Ridiculous, do the FA ever learn?!! Just think how far that money would go further down, at so called "grass roots".

    Throw 6 million at a manager every year for the next four years. Didn't learn with Sven or McClaren.

    Yet we can't afford a national school of football.

    Much as I agree with the sentiment, do we honestly think that if say £2m p.a. was spent on a manager's salary that the balance would be used to improve standards / facilities at grass roots level ?

    I don't. It would swell the coffers or be frittered away on entertaining / meetings etc.
