I have to be honest and own up, I didn't spend a penny on jubilee souvenirs, bunting, flags, etc. Not that I've got anything against the royal family or the jubilee, I just didnt buy anything.

Playing Devils advocate, the sales will have supported small businesses who for one folk keep saying need help.

I haven't bought anything but let people generate some money if they want

I've not bought anything but with the money it's created it's not something to knock.

On the street (cul de sac) i live in Sheffield they had a street party. Me and the wife went out for the entire day from 11am to 11pm. Sod 'em being all celebratory and that. I think we were the only ones who didnt join in. Got home and there was crap all over our front lawn. Im not cleaning it up, they can clean their own mess up. Bah, humbug. When they asked us if we would like to come which was last Wednesday, the attitude was if you are not joining in can you get lost before 12pm please. So, no i didnt spend a penny on the celebrations.

I haven't spent anything, but I haven't had the opportunity to.

I think it's a good thing this whole jubilee thing, brings people together at events all over the country that probably would not have otherwise. Plus it looked great on the TV last night.

    Stop being so fecking miserable!

    I bought stuff

got tee shirts, bunting, flags, car airiel topper, and we spent a decent amount on food for the local street party too. I know its not everyones thing, but it certainly made a helluva lot of people happy and PROUD to be British...and that cannot be a bad thing. Also the revenue generated by these sales and in other areas must given the economy a boost.Pubs and restraunts must made a bomb.

and at the end of the day when it comes to pageantry and Pomp etc...

NOBODY DOES IT BETTER THAN BRITAIN

    and I love it.

Great for the economy? This has cost nearly £50m alone just to 'celebrate' the Jubilee. Apparently it has also cost around £7bn in lost productivity over the Jubilee weekend.
