It's going to be a huge points total this season. I did the predictor a couple of weeks ago and we finished on 78 and missed out on goal difference to Gillingham. Bearing in mind Chesterfield got in with only 69 last season and Bradford finished 7th on 65, which is where we are with five games left in the same spot.
I honestly think we need 12 points out of our last five games. Need to beat Peterborough and Colchester at home, of which I think we'll do. Then we need to either win one away game and draw the other two or win two. Looking at who we've got, it's highly unlikely unfortunately.
I think we have a fair chance, homes games yes and up against an out of form Burton, a poor Sheffield United team and a team that will be promoted by the time we play them. All to play for imho.
Highly unlikely? We have already won away at 3 of the top six! and drawn at Wigan in the JPT so I would say its probably likely.
Ý Alot more confident of getting results away from Oakwell at the moment as we have won our last five games on our travels. Fans at home getting on the teams back and poor atmosphere doesnt help. Lets get behind them at home and try not to be negative like it felt last night. We have a real chance of making the playoffs.
The need to win 4/5 seems to be the view of many, including me https://twitter.com/bfcdrinkers/status/720016365218873344
There will be lots of strange results between now and the end of the season. There always is. We won't need as many points as people are surmising.
Burton - on the slippery slope. 3-1 win. Peterborough - nowt to play for. 2-0 win. Manor Top Rape Apologists - they only care about Wednesday, and the little Dingles don't constitute a rivalry. Hammill top corner job. 1-0. Colchester - dead and buried. 4-0 win. Wigan - on the beach. Whatever we need, we'll get.
