Dear all, Jane Tomlinson's "Run for all" 10K race on 24th June 2007, what a great event ! ….but I can’t run 10k !!! No problem - YOU can still be involved. We still want you to join us and: Ø Experience the excitement of being involved in a major sporting event Ø Feel the deep satisfaction in realising you will have helped raise tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of pound for charities Ø Provide an important, necessary support role for the expected 10,000 participants Ø Help the thousand’s of spectators enjoy their day to the full Ø Be able to relive your involvement in this famous inaugral event Volunteers are required to help with: Pre-Race 10,000 competitors requires a lot of organisation and volunteers will be invaluable in helping to direct participants and take care of baggage Race Marshall - Throughout the course marshals will be needed to manage the crowds of spectators and to guide the runners through the streets of Leeds. Water Stations - Those competing will consume thousands of bottles of water on route and at the end of the event. Volunteers will be required to hand out the drinks. End of Race - Volunteers will be on hand to congratulate participants, ensure finishers move efficiently through the finish area receiving their mementoes etc. to be reunited with their baggage. If you would like to volunteer please send your details to me directly if you are interested helping out on the day. I would also very much appreciate it if you could print off and display the attached poster, thank you.
