Now the strike partnership has 15 goals in the last 10 games. Not bad for two free transfers. http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/teams/Barnsley.html
People are wishing for us to tie Butterfield to a new contract... For me, Vaz Te would be the priority; beginning to find the promise he showed in his early days at Bolton. Don't get me wrong, i'd love for us to keep Butterfield, but for me Vaz Te's goal return considering he's playing out of position, is something which will attract bigger clubs, and I feel he's proven his fitness which is something Keith was worried about.
Teams a lot worse than us. You forgot to mention us scoring 23 goals as well in those games.... http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D1/glsagst.html
Re: People are wishing for us to tie Butterfield to a new contract... Is he out of position? I am sure I read somewhere that he has said himself he prefers to be out on the left.
16 of those goals conceeded came in just four games. Not that bad, but we do need more clean sheets. That said I can't remember many tight Barnsley defences over the last 20 years.
Re: People are wishing for us to tie Butterfield to a new contract... Credit where its due...I don't think Vas Te or Davies would have got half as many had not young Butters not been in the form he has...Some of his assists have been pure class....
Me too. The only player I doubted upon his arrival, and the man from Portugal has been a revelation. I was wrong, and I am more than happy to be
He was the only player I was looking forward to watching at the beginning of the season. A class player, but I did wonder if we would get 20 games a season out of him, legs like crystal glass!!!!
