RE: And it still grates that I didnt get a ticket and lots of parttimers did nt Is this for the Chelsea game?
it was no fecking joke when we didnt get our scouse tickets having been going to oakwell nearly 30 years and the fecking nabours from donny did
Credit though to our club for turning a negative into something positive with the new ticketing system for big games.
Been going 30 years and I didn't get one Had to bunk in the main stand with the Liverpool fans! How I didn't stabd up and scream when that second one went in I'll never know!
I was in the Main Stand, too. There was a very angry Scouser screaming about 'losing to a ******* pub team' and 'just been beaten by the under-nines' when Skullcrusher Howard popped the winner in. I had to just sit there, quietly. Memories!
Got my ticket off an Irish Liverpool fan via www.gumtree.com in the main stand... ...I was quiet for Foster's goal but cheered when the winner went in and feared for my life. However I ran up the steps to the Directors box after the final whistle, unveiled my Barnsley T-Shirt to Cryne and Shep to show them the lengths some fans had to go to. To be fair the home counties and scandanavian 'scousers' around me were hardly hoolies. Just a shame I saw Wednesday fans and armchair Liverpool fans from my school around the ground before the game who last went to our victory over Manchester United in the FA Cup taking the seats of more regular reds supporters. Memories indeed.
Just a couple of apologetic shrugs, as like me, they were both caught up in the moment. I was talking to Patrick's wife Jean as my mate is her nephew.
