    We had a larger average attendance in both the 1981/82 & 1982/83 seasons.

    that's not a criticism I'm jealous. It's just that he may not remember the time when Liverpool were the worthy champions of both england and europe whilst Chelsea were a nasty little club in the second division before captain birdseye got involved and nearly bust them. It's only because of the russian gangster that they have a club.

    Erm....im pretty sure that most City fans are mancs where as Scum & Scouse fans seem to come from all over

    Man Utd in the second division in 74/75

    had average attendances of over 40k . Again I'm not defending the corporate fans of today but it's another club with a real history. </p>

    I like Man city as they have a hard core of long suffering fans

    but the 'blue camp' doesn't really look full does it ? anfield and Old Trafford do.

    is it an oasis thing ?
    i went to see them at maine rd in the 80's
    surrounded by fake stone island/fosters menswear
    we used to wear jumpers in town from ken ellis , covered in skiers
    unless you could afford jonathon silver ( i could)£28 week eh dave

    As for watching Oasis at Maine Road in the 80's that must have been good because they only came on the scene in '91
