    I think most of this current crop is better than the 15/16 gang. It was the year after where I thought Hourihane and Winnall were ‘wow’, despite their heroics that season. Stendel’s side would fill up the majority of the XI at the moment but wouldn’t be surprised if it was surpassed by this group in the coming weeks and months.

    Yes, that was 15/16. I guess if you're playing wing backs, it's difficult to find a place for Hammill.

    For me pinnock was best center half I've seen at oakwell since de zeuw walks into any combined team. If you could have loan players I'd have included brownhill.

    Players don't really fit the formation like, but I reckon with that talent they'd make it crack. Connell just edging Scowen.

    Not seen as much of them as the vast majority (probably all) on here, which will explain any strange selections. But am going;

    Davies

    Williams Mawson Pinnock Pinillos

    Brown/Potts Hourihane Phillips Hammill

    Moore Winnall

    If I were to pick 3-5-2, then Andersen, Cadden and Mowatt would come in for Pinillos, and both wingers.

    Barring Hammill and Mawson who have retired through age and injury. The majority of these teams look top end Championship. It just goes to show what a great effort the recruitment team at the club have done over the years. (Barring the debacle under Conway in 2021.)

    If i had two Hammills in my team they'd both start! Plus sticking Mowatt in for Mowatt would be a sensible move
