Acording to Chelski correspondence on Talksport. Hence the reason Everton are after more dosh. Don't know if it's true but sounds reasonable.
Everton fans on Twitter are trying to work out ways of doing us out of any money. Can't see it can be done.
Don't forget the vat at 20%. Will be deducted before any profits. So it will be a percentage of the nett price
Why ? I think as both clubs will be vat registered then Everton would charge the fee + vat and Chelsea would claim the vat back as input vat on their vat return.
So in total we'll have received a fee of around 6.5million for an 18 year old who'd played around 25 games for us. Doesn't sound so bad now. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
^that By the way, how could a club claim tax back, what is it about a player purchase that is VAT exempt??
I have been critical of the deal but totally agree with your sentiments. Assuming it happens that is.
Where's juttyp? Apparently it was definitely 25% according to him.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Todays paper say man u are going to offer cash plus jonny evans (mirror) I dont belive that will go through but if it did would **** out sell on fee right up wouldnt it
What happens to our sell on clause if say Man U pay £25m pluss a player worth £10m. Do we get 15% of £25m or 15% of £35m?
Re: What happens to our sell on clause if say Id say 25m just a guess but wouldnt have thought we would get any money for a estimation of evans say 10m because 10m never changed hands.
Re: What happens to our sell on clause if say Of course we would. Lets not forget that it's a percentage of the profit though, so it will be whatever percent of the total value of the transfer less £2.2m. As it is likely now that three clubs will be putting a bid in it should be easy to work out the valuation of any player exchange. We do have a very experienced sports lawyer as our chairman too, so I'm quite satisfied that he will know what to do if there's a player exchange involved. If all three clubs do bid for him, my money would be on him joining Man United, so it may well end up as a messy transfer.
Re: What happens to our sell on clause if say 15% seems about right. To be fair given that we had no idea if he was any good or not anything above 10% would be a pleasant surprise.
