you can report them as soon as you like but you'll look at twit when you find them in the airing cupboard, hiding. Kids love hiding.

You might look a twit anyway.

I am sure you're little bro

will appreciate you messing about on the net whilst he's staying out beyond his bedtime. Your concern burns deep.

    Well done.

    Technically you are right,

    I am sick!

Didn't you think to try ringing or going round to his friends houses before ringing the police/panicing?

Teenagers do have a habit of going "missing" with their friends and hanging out on street corners or investigating what's in friends parent's drinks cupboard while parents aren't there.

Now he's back safely, with hopefully nothing more than a bad hangover. Hopefully he will have learnt to be a bit more careful next time.

dunno if it will help you there..

but here in the States it's 24 hrs missing for 10 yrs and older before they will start an official hunt. Younger than that, it's immediate and if there's a divorce or suspicious circumstances there's an "Amber alert" named for a young girl who was kidnapped, raped and murdered, sent out to all media alerting of a missing child and descriptions of both the child and the person they were last seen with including any vehicle they were in.

having said that, the police here will usually ask if you've contacted the child's friends and his/her usual haunts before calling them. it turns out that 99 out of 100 times little suzie or johnny is in the back yard drunk...oooeerrrrrrrrr sound familiar? at 15 i'd have had the skin lifted off of my @ss by my irate father and then not seen the light of day for months...and I'm female

perhaps a good thrashing will teach the little c unt it's not wise to get drunk at his age, in his own back yard and worry his family to death resulting in unfounded accusations of people being "sick" on a football website. and perhaps you need either some psych meds to calm you or a few years' maturity under your own belt as well

You didn't actually think to just call the police then

and they would tell you at what stage they would consider him missing and start searching?!

Pleased to hear he's ok, apart from a banging hangover probably
